Batu Caves - this popular tourist attraction is located just 13kms north of Kuala Lumpur. The Hindu Shrine is located in the main cave 272 steps up. At the foothills is a smaller cave, which houses an interesting display of Hindu mythology.
Sri Mahamariaman Temple built in 1873, this is one of the most ornate and elaborate Hindu temples in the country. It houses a giant chariot that is used to transport a deity annually during the Hindu festival of Thaipuisam.
