Penang

Known as "The Pearl of the Orient" needs little introduction.  From its establishment as a British trading outpost in 1786, it is today a bustling metropolitan city with a unique lend of East and West. Here may be found many scenic delights and architectural splendours.  Mosques, temples and churches are scattered all over this lovely tropical paradise.  Historic sites such as Fort Cornwallis draw many visitors. Recreational parks and gardens bear testimony to the richness of Penang's flora and fauna. Penang is also a shopper’s paradise with prices to match anything you may find elsewhere in the world.  And when it comes to food, Penang is second to none, with many fine restaurants and stalls offering a wide variety of both local and foreign delicacies. Or if you wish there are the fine beaches on which to relax the hours away.
